A/C Compressor Clutch

The A/C Compressor Clutch is designed to connect the rotor pulley to the compressor input shaft when the A/C is turned on and the coil is energised. If the magnetic clutch has failed and the hub doesn’t pull inwards when the A/C is turned on the compressor shaft will not rotate, and the refrigerant will not circulate through the A/C System. Very often it is the Magnetic Clutch that will fail on a compressor. This is relatively inexpensive. With a little know-how it’s usually easy to change.
